De Witt Gymnasium

Home to both the Defenders basketball and volleyball teams, the De Witt Gymnasium is known for its electric gameday atmosphere and its close proximity of fans to the court, giving the Defenders a distinct home court advantage.
The De Witt holds 2,000 spectators and has hosted both conference and national tournament events along with annual competitive dance and cheer events.
“The De Witt” was constructed in 1968, underwent an addition in 1979 and was most recently remodeled in 2005. The facility features space for two regulation basketball and volleyball courts for practices, locker room spaces, coaches offices, concession area along with a spacious lobby area.
An upcoming renovation project anticipates the addition of new locker rooms, office spaces, hospitality areas, expanded lobby area and air conditioning.
