(Friday, December 2, 2022; Sioux Center, Iowa) Sydney Wells, a student at South Dakota State University, has announced her intention to attend Dordt University and join the Defender dance program.
"We are looking forward to adding Sydney to our team next semester," said Dordt dance coach Mel Knobloch. "I've had the opportunity to coach and teach Sydney in grade school and high school and I am so excited to get the opportunity to coach her now in this new chapter of her life. She brings great competition and performance experience, and I can't wait to have her join our dance family this year."
Wells is a 2022 graduate of Central Lyon High School and she will join the program at the semester break.
"I chose to attend Dordt University to be surrounded by faith, build my community and be supported by peer relationships like the dance team," said Wells.
Sydney is the daughter of Jackie and Steve Wells of Rock Rapids, Iowa. She plans to study business administration at Dordt University.
