(Wednesday, January 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Emma Holmes, a senior at Avail Academy (Minesota), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the dance program.
"I am excited that Emma has decided to attend Dordt next fall and be a part of our dance program! She is a sweet girl with lots of talent and technique, and I can't wait to see what she will all bring to our team next year!" said Dordt dance coach Mel Knobloch.
Holmes has a background in tap, jazz, ballet, modern and contemporary dance.
"I really liked the education program and the welcoming community," said Holmes.
Emma is the daughter of Amanda Holmes of Spring Lake Park, Minnesota. She plans to study education at Dordt.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
