Three Dordt runners were among the top 10 finishers in the 5K at the SDSU D2 Open, a meet held Friday afternoon in Brookings, S.D.
Aidan Vorster,
Ethan Summerhays and
Jacob Brouwer all finished among the top 10 and ran personal bests in the 5K this afternoon. Vorster led the way for the Defenders, placing third with a time of 15:06, which is the second fastest in the GPAC to date. The sophomore's time today puts him sixth on the Dordt all-time list in the event. Summerhays completed the 5K race in fifth place with a time of 15:18, fourth fastest in the GPAC and eighth best in program history. Brouwer placed eighth overall in the 24-runner field, crossing the finish line with a time of 15:47, fifth best in the conference.
