Lucy Borkowski and Elyse Kuperus ran personal bests in the 5K on Friday night at the SDSU D2 meet held in Brookings, S.D.

Both Defender runners finished in the top 10 overall and posted times that rank among the top five in the GPAC to date. Borkowski placed third overall in Friday's race with a personal best time of 18:34, a time that is the fastest in the GPAC and the eighth fastest in program history. Kuperus finished eighth this afternoon with a personal-best time of 19:26, fourth best in the conference. 

Courtney Joiner (13th - 20:28) and Abigail Ruse (17th - 22:44) also ran for the Defenders in today's 5K race.

Megan Pickering (Northern State) was the overall winner, completing the 5K race in 18:25.
