The Dordt Defenders played the Missouri State Bears to a 4-0 loss this evening.
Dordt University was shutout for the first time in a game where they had plenty of chances but were unable to put one in the back of the net.
Missouri State wasted no time as they scored just 11 seconds into the game. Their second goal game with 2:37 left in the second period and their third coming with 59 seconds remaining in the period. The Bears put the final goal in with 7:10 left in the game.
The Defenders had their chances but were unable to capitalize on them with Missouri State having three penalties in the game.
The Bears out-shot the Defenders 31-29.
Graeme Edmund tallied 27 saves and will have his record fall to 1-2 on the season.
The Defenders fall to 3-2-0 on the season and will face off against Missouri State tomorrow at 2:00 PM for the final matchup between these two for the 2023-24 season.
