The Dordt Defenders fell to the Missouri State Bears by a score of 4-2.
The Defenders struck first with a goal by Tyson Wildeboer in the first period with 4:22 remaining. Dordt took the lead into the first intermission.
Dordt would net their second of the game in the second period with 10:03 on a short-handed goal scored by Noah Wilmes.Â
The Bears would score their first a couple minutes later with 4:50 remaining in the second period to bring the score within one. The Defenders would also take the lead into the second intermission.
The Bears would score again with 15:53 remaining in the third period shortly after successfully killing a Defender power play.
Missouri State would take the lead late in the game with 3:50 left in the third period. They would add to their lead in with just over a minute left with a goal on an empty net.

The Defenders will fall to 3-3-0 overall and will be on the ice again next Friday and Saturday (October 13 & 14) for home games against Northern Illinois.
