Krabill To Run For Defenders

(Friday, April 28; Sioux Center, Iowa) Owen Krabill, a senior at Fredericktown High School (Ohio), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender cross country and track programs.  

"Owen is a great fit for our program and Dordt University.  He is a strong and disciplined runner that has had success in his running and will transition well to college racing.  I am excited for his impact on our team and across the Dordt University campus as well.  I look forward to working with Owen over the next few years!" said Dordt cross country head coach and assistant track coach Nate Wolf.  

Krabill has personal bests of 4:32 in the 1,600, 2:01 in the 800, 10:07 in the 3,200 and 16:43 in the 5,000. He's been a first-team all-district and all-region performer in cross country.  

Owen is the son of Tim and Kathy Krabill of Fredericktown, Ohio. He plans to study agriculture at Dordt.  

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
