Defender Hockey fell to the University of Kansas in the first game of the 2023-2024 season by a score of 6-2.

Defenders found themselves down in the first period, 2-0. 

They were able to get one back in the second period but they gave up two more in the process making it 4-1. They knocked in one more in the third but surrendered two more by the end of the game. Dordt's two goals were scored by Isaac Baart and Jonah Weems.

The Defenders fall to 0-1-0 on the season but will have a chance to split the series tomorrow at 2 pm.
