Dordt University will host Drake University in a two game series this weekend for their home opener. The Defenders are coming off a series split against the University of Kansas Jayhawks where they dropped the first game by a score of 6-2 and won the second with a score of 8-4.
Puck drop will be at 7:00 pm on Friday, September 29 and 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 30. Both games will be held at the Vernon Ice Arena in Sioux Center. Â

Drake comes into this game with an 0-4-0 record. Those four games have been against Creighton, Nebraska, and Northern Illinois.Â
This will be the first meeting between Dordt and Drake.
