(Monday, November 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Aubrey Hermann, a senior at Ballard High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt University and join the Defender dance program.
"I am thrilled Aubrey has committed to attending Dordt next year and has decided to join our dance team. Aubrey has a bubbly outgoing and joyous personality that brings energy to the room and I know she will be a great fit for our team next year. She has great experience in both studio dance and dance teams and I am excited to see how she will use these technical skills and continue to grow as a teammate while being a part of our team next year," said Dordt coach Mel Knobloch.
Hermann was a part of the 3A Cheer/Dance champions.
"I chose Dordt because it's a Christian based university that puts Jesus Christ at the center of everything. Everyone is super welcoming and extremely nice and helpful when you have questions," said Hermann.
Aubrey is the daughter of Scott and Rhiannon Hermann of Huxley, Iowa and she plans to study nursing.
