Track and Cross Country | Jamison Velzke Commit

Jamison Velzke, a senior at Cedar Grove-Belgium High School (Wisconsin), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender cross country and track programs.   

"Jamison is an outstanding fit for our program and for Dordt University.  He has had strong success in high school that will translate well to impacting our program.  He is a strong student who resonates with Dordt's Christian worldview.  I look forward to working with Jamison the next four years and seeing him thrive on campus," said Dordt cross country and track coach Nate Wolf.

    • "I chose to attend Dordt because I want to grow closer to God while learning in a Christian environment and running on a team with a strong Christian brotherhood. Additionally, I would like to learn how to be a good witness of Christ as I go off into a career after college."  

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).     

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
