Adeline Crow (Rochester, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and join the Defender women's cross country and track and field programs.
Crow is a 5'8" middle distance / distance runner who has competed multiple years for the Century High School (Minn.) cross country and track field programs. Crow earned all-conference honors in cross country as a junior and senior and finished 65th at the Minnesota State Cross Country Championship last fall. She received Academic All-State honors as a senior. In track and field, Crow was named all-conference two years (8th and 9th grade) and will compete in her fifth and final track season this spring.
"I am excited to welcome Addy to our program," said Dordt University Head Cross Country Coach Nate Wolf. "Addy is a talented runner who is a wonderful fit for Dordt University and our distance program. She is coming off of an excellent senior season that will propel her forward into college racing. I look forward to her impact on campus and our program, and I am excited to work with her the next four years."
Crow has personal bests of 2:34 in the 800m, 5:34.6 in the 1600m,11:43 in the 3200m and 19;12 in the 5K for cross country. Braun plans to study social work at Dordt and is the daughter of David and Sheri.
"I chose to attend Dordt University because of the people," said Crow. "I felt a huge connection with everyone I met with and it was easy to see that the professors and students put their faith first. At Dordt, I know I will get an excellent education and be able to build on my own faith as well. I'm very excited for the fall semester."
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
