(Saturday, March 2; Sioux Center, Iowa) Ella Ausdemore, a senior at Treynor High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the dance program.

"Ella is a tremendous person who fits the mission of Dordt University and our athletic department well. She has a fun and bubbly personality with many years of dance experience. She comes from a strong studio and high school dance team and we look forward to the impact Ella will have at Dordt University next year," said Dordt coach Mel Knobloch.

Ausdemore has competed for both her high school and studio dance teams at the ISDTA and other local competitions. She has secured 10 division 1 ratings both in team and solo dance competitions at the ISDTA.

"I chose Dordt University because it is where I feel called to be. I was very worried about college until arriving on campus because it immediately felt like home. After praying about my decision for a long time I knew that Dordt is exacctly where I am meant to be. Dordt also has a good engineering program which is what I would like to go to school for," said Ausdemore.

Ella is the daughter of Kevin and Michelle Ausdemore of Treynor, Iowa.  She plans to study engineering.
