Joshua Daun (Minnetrista, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to attend Dordt University and compete for the Defenders men's cross country and track and field programs.  

Daun competed in both cross country and track and field for Southwest Christian High School. The 6'2" middle distance / distance runner finished third at the conference championship in the 3200m and is part of a 4x800 relay that holds the school record. Daun has personal bests of 17:23 in the 5000m, 10:52 in the 3200m, 4:55 in the mile and 2:09 in the 800m.

"I chose to attend Dordt because of its great programs in academics, track and field and cross country," stated Daun. "I had a great experience when I visited campus and look forward to being part of the outstanding culture."

Daun plans to major in Accounting at Dordt and is the son of Brian and Tammy.

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
