The Dordt Defender hockey team fell in a 7-1 decision to Missouri State on Friday night at the Vernon Arena in Sioux Center.
Dordt scored first with
Mason Spejcher putting the Defenders up seven minutes into the contest when he capitalized on a three on two advantage. The Bears had a response and went up 3-1 by the end of the first period.Â
The visitors added another goal in the second period and then put the game away with three goals in the third period and outshot the Defenders 40-26.
Dordt is 15-4-1 and the two teams will play again on Saturday afternoon.Â
Missouri State clinched the MACHA Silver Division title with the win.
