The Dordt Defender men's golf team had a 29 stroke improvement on day two of the Virginia McCoy Invite in Kansas City, Missouri and moved into a tie for seventh place as it finished the 2025 portion of the schedule.

The Defenders shot a second day total of 294 after shooting a 323 on Monday and tied with teams from North Central Missouri and Park with 617 and the teams were seven strokes out of sixth. Dordt's 294 had the fourth best score on day two.
Caleb Douma shot a 70 on Tuesday to go 79-70=149 and finished tied for 10
th.
Samuel Wolfe had a 75 and finished tied for 15
th overall with a 76-75=151 and
Mason Harper shot a 73 on Wednesday.
Chris Santonsson (Park) won the medalist honors with a 68-71=139 and was one stroke better than Spencer Worley (William Woods).
Douma had four birdies in his round including three in a row on holes eight, nine and ten.
Samuel Wolfe had an eagle on a par-4, 381 yard hole five.
Joseph Wolfe had three birdies.
Dordt's 294 was the team's second best score of the season, second only to a 292 shot at the Siouxland Invite on September 9.
