The Dordt University women's cross country team delivered a dominant performance at the 2025 Mount Marty Invite, claiming the team title with a near-perfect score of 16 points at the Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, S.D.
The 6th-ranked Defenders placed seven runners in the top eight, led by Corinne Braun who led the charge for the Defenders, crossing the finish line first in the 6K race with a personal-best time of 21:40.68. Braun was followed closely by teammates Jenna Hursh (22:30.03) and Courtney Joiner (22:33.93), who finished second and third, respectively. Jada Koerner and Molly Hulstein rounded out the top five for Dordt, placing fourth and sixth overall.
Elyse Zwart and Olivia Hoogland also contributed to Dordt's scoring effort, finishing seventh and eighth, respectively. The Defenders' top five runners combined for a total time of 1:52:43.70, averaging 22:32.74 per runner.
Dordt's depth was on full display, with 20 runners finishing in the top 50. The team's strong showing outpaced second-place Northwestern (Iowa), who finished with 60 points, and third-place Augustana (S.D.), who tallied 62 points.
