The Dordt hockey team defeated Gustavus Adolphus in Windom, Minnesota on Saturday night. Dordt's record is now 17-4-1 and they have won two straight.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Defenders saw five goals scored by four different players. The Defenders opened the scoring after
Mason Spejcher scored, assisted by
Noah Wilmes.
The second goal came on an unassisted effort by
Reuben Horneman, his first of the night.
The third goal for the Defenders came off the stick of
Luke Kester. This one was also unassisted.
Noah Wilmes added a fourth for the Defenders, Wilmes was assisted by
Mason Spejcher and
Lucas Van Berkel.
Reuben Horneman finished the night by securing a brace with another unassisted goal. Gustavus Adolphus would score a goal but would eventually come up short.
Dordt's next game will be on Friday, February 7 when they host Nebraska-Omaha in the Vernon Arena. Puck Drop is scheduled for 7 pm.
