The Dordt Defender hockey team lost a 9-0 decision to Hope (Michigan) in the second of three pool play contests at the ACHA Division 3 National Championship in Maryland Heights, Missouri on Wednesday, March 19.  The Defenders are now 0-2 in pool play with a contest against Michigan State on Thursday to conclude their national championship play.

Hope scored three in each period and had a 50-24 shots on goal advantage while getting the shutout.   Hope had a 15-10 shots advantage in the first period and controlled play in the final 40 minutes with a 35-14 shots edge.

Dordt will face Michigan State on Thursday at 11:00.
