The Dordt University men's golf team completed day one of the Briar Cliff Match Play with a 1-1 record and will play No.3 seed Morningside in the third place match on Friday. All matches are played at the Green Valley Golf Club in Sioux City, Iowa.

Dordt, the No.4 seed in the 8-team field, earned a close 3-2 win against No.5 Concordia in the day's first match. The Defenders advanced to play No.1 seed Northwestern in the semifinals where they lost 2-1.
