The Dordt Defender golf team finished second at the Mount Marty Fall Invite at Tatanka Golf Course in Niobrara, Nebraska. The competition was a 36-hole event.

THE ROUND
Caleb Douma shot a 71 on day two for a 73-71=144 and even par for a second place tie.
Trey Van Groningen went 74-75=149 for a 10
th place tie and Sam Wolfe finished in a tie for 13
th with a 72-79=151. Douma and Van Groningen both had four birdies in their Tuesday rounds. Â
Morningside won the team title with a 288-289=577 and the Defenders overcame Mount Marty for the runner-up spot with a 300-298=598 and Mount Marty shot a 297-303=600.
Dordt's next outing is on Monday and Tuesday, October 6-7 at the Mustang Derby.
