The Dordt men's golf team finished fifth at the Blue River Classic hosted by Doane in Lincoln, Nebraska at Highlands Golf Course on September 3 and 4. The Defenders shot a three-round total of 295-301-300=896.

Dordt was led by
Mason Harper's 70-78-73=221 as he claimed a tie for 16
th place in the field and
Joseph Wolfe tied for 20
th with a 76-73-73=222. Dordt's golfers were separated by 16 strokes and the team finished three strokes out of fourth place behind a team from Doane.
Southeast Community College won the event by seven strokes and had a 282-284-285=851. Southeast was led by the individual winner Hayden Delaloye with a 72-69-65=206. Delaloye was one stroke better than Steven Gormley from Iowa Western.
Dordt's next competition will be Monday and Tuesday at The Ridge and Landsmeer on September 8 and 9.
