(Tuesday, January 20; Sioux Center, Iowa) Cheyenne McFarland, a senior at Sioux Central High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender cheer program.

Why Dordt:  "I chose Dordt because of the close knit community and the amazing Christian atmosphere. Every time I have been on campus I have felt welcome and it felt like I was already a student on campus."

Coach Mel Knobloch Says: "I am so very excited to have Cheyanne join our cheer program at Dordt next year! After watching her at our summer camps, and seeing how hard she worked alongside her teammates and her positive attitude, I knew she would be a great fit for our team. She has a background in both cheer and dance, which will help benefit our team as we begin to put together our routines and performances for next year! I look forward to seeing the impact that she will make on this program."
