The Dordt University women's track and field team is ranked 12th in the latest edition of the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCA) NAIA Indoor National Rating released earlier today.

Notes: 

• this is the fifth of seven national ratings that the USTFCCCA will release during the 2026 indoor season
• the final poll will be announced on Sunday, March 8, following the conclusion of the NAIA Indoor National Championships
• the Defenders fell five spots from last week's No.7 rating, despite winning the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Indoor Championship last weekend
• the Defenders accounted for 84.43 points and are within 1.2 points from a spot among the top 10 (11th - Taylor: 84.82, 10th - St.Xavier: 85.61)
• Dordt is one of three teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) ranked in the top 25 in the Feb.25 rating:
  • Doane - #2
  • Dordt - #12
  • Concordia - #17
• Marian (Ind.) is the new No.1 team, taking over the top spot from Doane, with 202.45 points
• Doane slipped to No.2 with 172 points, followed by Central Methodist (Mo.), Milligan (Tenn.) and Dickinson State (N.D.) in the top five
• the Defenders hold a top 10 ranking in eight events
