Dordt established control early in the opening set. After a brief 1-1 tie, the Defenders scored seven of the next eight points to build an 8-3 lead and never trailed again. Graceland trimmed the deficit to 8-6, but Dordt answered with a steady run and later used a 6-2 surge to extend the margin to 23-16 before closing out the set.
The second set featured more back-and-forth action early, with ties at 2-2, 3-3, 4-4 and 6-6. Dordt gradually separated with a 7-3 run to take a 13-9 lead and maintained control from there. Graceland closed within 23-19 late, but Dordt finished the frame with back-to-back points to take a 2-0 match lead.
Graceland applied its most pressure in the third set, overcoming an early 5-1 deficit and eventually taking a 15-13 lead. Dordt responded out of a timeout with a momentum-shifting run, scoring five of the next six points to reclaim an 18-16 advantage. The Defenders continued to hold off the Yellowjackets down the stretch, closing the match on a 7-5 run to complete the sweep.
Dordt was efficient offensively throughout, hitting .273 as a team while limiting Graceland to a .151 mark.
