Darin Keizer has announced Austin Reynolds will serve as the head men's and women's golf coach for the 2026-27 season.
"We are excited to welcome Austin to our head coaching staff. Through the search process, it was clear Austin understands coaching at Dordt is about more than competition. He has a desire to invest in student-athletes and challenge them to grow as servant leaders, in their academic pursuits and as competitors," said Keizer.
Reynolds was an accomplished golfer at Hawkeye Community College and was named the school's 2019 Male Athlete of the Year. He has held a variety of positions in the golf industry, serving as an assistant superintendent at Westwood Golf Course in Newton, Iowa; pro shop operations manager at Prairie Links Golf Course in Waverly, Iowa; first assistant golf professional at Echo Valley Country Club in Norwalk, Iowa; and first assistant golf professional at The Ridge Golf Club in Sioux Center, Iowa.
"My coaching philosophy centers on developing players to reach their highest potential with their God-given abilities. Success is measured not only by results, but by the ability to respond to adversity, maintain focus for entire rounds, keep a good attitude and glorify God through the ups and downs," said Reynolds.
Jon Crane, who has served as head golf coach for both programs since the 2020-21 school year, will remain on the coaching staff as an assistant coach.
Karrie Van Ravenswaay, who has been with the program since 2011, will also continue as an assistant coach.
"I'm thankful for Jon's leadership and the work he has done as head coach of both programs while also serving as director of golf at The Ridge. He has moved our programs forward, and I'm grateful he will continue as an assistant coach, mentoring and developing our student-athletes," said Keizer.
