Hudson Hamilton was named the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week as announced by the league office earlier today.

Notes: 

• this is the second installment of the weekly honor within the GPAC 
• Hamiton was the top collegiate finisher and placed second overall at the Sunflower Open, presented by Rankin / Veenstra Wealth Management, held last weekend on the Defenders campus
• the sophomore posted a 6K time of 18:34, the sixth fastest time in the NAIA this season
• Hamilton's second place finish was the highest of his career at Dordt
• Hamiton helped lead the Defenders to the team championship and a perfect score of 15pts
• this is the first time Hamilton earned the weekly honor
• Dordt will not compete this weekend; up next - Augustana Invitational on Sept.25
