The Dordt University men's golf team delivered a strong two-day performance at the NAIA Midwest Invitational, finishing in 3rd place in a competitive 12-team field at the par-71, 7,091-yard TPC Deer Run.

The Defenders posted team rounds of 307 and 306 for a two-round total of 613 (+45), holding off fourth-place Clarke (626) and trailing only tournament champions Northwestern (Iowa) (594) and runner-up Northwestern Ohio (611).
Dordt placed three golfers inside the top 15 individually, led by Samuel Wolfe, Evan Wood, and Trey Van Groningen. The Defenders next action will be in mid-October when they travel to Kansas City.
- Samuel Wolfe – T5th (76-75 = 151, +9)
Wolfe anchored the Defenders' lineup with Dordt's best individual finish. In Tuesday's final round, Wolfe carded a 4-over 75 (37-38), highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 3rd hole (183 yards) and a steady back nine with seven pars.
- Evan Wood – T8th (77-76 = 153, +11)
Wood earned a top-10 finish after following his opening-round 77 with a 5-over 76 in Round 2. He recorded a birdie on the par-5 17th hole (550 yards).
- Trey Van Groningen – T11th (79-75 = 154, +12)
Van Groningen matched Wolfe for Dordt's lowest round of the day on Tuesday, firing a 4-over 75. He had 12 pars on the day and a birdie on the par-4 9th hole to close out the front nine.
- Caleb Douma – T27th (75-84 = 159, +17)
Douma led the Defenders on Day 1 with a team-low 75 (+4) before finishing with an 84 on Tuesday.
- Joseph Wolfe – T42nd (86-80 = 166, +24)
Wolfe provided a six-stroke improvement in Round 2 for an 80 (+9) that included a 39 on the back nine to count toward Dordt's day-two team total.
