Justin Pastoor

Hired in the summer of 2022, Pastoor is in his fifth year as an assistant coach / throws coach for the Dordt University track and field program. Pastoor also serves as a coach within the Defenders Athletic Performance (Strength and Conditioning) program. 

Education: 

  • M.S. - Exercise and Sports Science, Human Performance - University of Wisconsin La Crosse
  • B. A. - Health and Human Performance, Exercise Science - Dordt University

Athletic Career:

  • competed as a thrower for the Defenders track and field team four years
  • was the program's record holder in both the weight throw and hammer throw

Coaching Career:

  • 2022 - present: Assistant Coach, Throws - Dordt University
  • Assistant Director / Internship Coordinator - The Xplosive Edge, Omaha, Neb.
    • worked with athletes from all age groups, including multiple collegiate and high school All-Americans, members of USA national teams, an Olympian and a Super Bowl Champion
