RECENTLY
The Concordia Bulldogs were 84-59 winners over Midland after leading 36-26 at halftime. Toomey scored 17 with four assists and Abby Krieser had 14 points with Rushton getting 12 points and six assists. Concordia made 10 three-pointers in the win and forced 24 turnovers.
Dordt led almost start to finish and prevailed over Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa on November 16. The Defenders used hot shooting and built a 43-30 halftime lead.
Bailey Beckman scored 25 and
Karly Gustafson had 16 points and 10 rebounds with six assists and three steals.
Janie Schoonhoven added 12 points and had 13 rebounds. The Defenders converted 13 three-pointers and had a 37-31 rebounding advantage.
THE SERIES
The Concordia Bulldogs lead the series 8-3 in the last five seasons. Dordt won both meetings last season by scores of 69-60 in Sioux Center on November 20 and 76-69 in Seward, Nebraska on February 5.
Bailey Beckman scored 26 in the February meeting and
Karly Gustafson had 20 points with 10 rebounds. Taysha Rushton and Sadie Powell had 20 and 19 points each and Powell had seven rebounds. Dordt had a 40-25 rebounding advantage and made 23-29 free throws.
