Flora To Attend Dordt

(Thursday, December 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) Benjamin Flora, a senior at Chaparral High School (Colorado), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program. 

Flora is a 6-1, 175 pound wide receiver and earned honorable mention all-conference honors along with academic all-conference honors and served as team captain.  He made 35 catches for 306 yards in 2022. 

"I chose Dordt to further my athletic career due to the strong Christian values of the program along with the athletic success and academic reputation Dordt has," said Flora. 

Benjamin is the son of  Jonathan and Deborah Flora of Parker, Colorado.  He plans to study criminal justice

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
