Groen To Continue Education At Dordt

(Thursday, December 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jaden Groen, a senior at Lakeville South High School (Minnesota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.

Groen is a 6-3, 195 pound, tight end and defensive end and he forced two fumbles, recovered two and had 12 tackles with four for loss.

"I first heard about Dordt through my uncle and cousin who both graduated from there. They encouraged me to come down for football camp over the summer where I got experience in the culture of Dordt for the first time. I was drawn to the welcoming atmosphere as well as the Christ-centered philosophy of striving to glorify God even in football. Aside from football I'm excited to work towards an engineering degree from a school that will help me find a job after graduation," said Groen.

Jaden is the son of Tony and Laurea Groen of Lakeville, Minnesota. Groen plans to study engineering
