Coleson Quiring To Join Defender Football

(Thursday, December 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) Coleson Quiring, a senior at Westlake High School (Utah), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.  

Quiring is a 6-1, 185 pound defensive back and had 83 total tackles with two interceptions and two pass breakups.  He totaled two tackles for loss, had a sack and forced four fumbles with two fumble recoveries this season. 

"Dordt has an amazing coaching staff, a top tier culture and a bright future that I want to be a part of," said Quiring. 

Coleson is the son of Jason and Nicole Quiring of Saratoga Springs, Utah.  He's undecided on his field of study.  

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA). 

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
