(Thursday, December 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) Sean Medlock, a senior at Mead High School (Colorado), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.
Medlock gained 1,046 yards rushing and 940 yards receiving the last two seasons combined. He's a two-time all-conference selection and a three-time academic all-state pick. He also had 28 tackles and has played running back, wide receiver, safety, linebacker and cornerback and has returned punts and kicks. Medlock is listed 5-7, 155 pounds.
"I really like the connection I have with the football coaches. It seems like a good school and somewhere I can see myself enjoying the next four years," said Medlock.
Sean is the son of Carrie and Casey Medlock of Frederick, Colorado. Medlock is undecided on his intended field of study.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
