(Thursday, December 22; Sioux Center, Iowa) Ethan Mills, a senior at Sioux Central High School (Iowa), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.
Mills is 5-10, 157 pounds and ran for 295 yards on 79 carries and had three touchdowns and caught eight passes. Mills also had 12 kick returns for 196 yards and five punt returns for 113 yards. He played wide receiver and cornerback.
"I chose Dordt because after I got on campus and went on a visit, I loved the look of campus and the people on it. When I watched a practice the energy just felt a lot different and I felt like something I wanted to be a part of," said Mills.
Ethan is the daughter of Melany and Stacey Mills of Webb, Iowa. He will study business administration.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
