Wednesday's GPAC opener begins at 5pm

Game Time...The Dordt University women's soccer team will put its win streak on the line as they play host to Briar Cliff in the GPAC opener for both teams. Wednesday's match is set to begin at 5pm. Dordt has won three straight matches and is 3-2 so far this season; the visiting Chargers, one of three GPAC teams recognized in the NAIA Coaches' poll, is 2-1-1. All-Time...Wednesday's match will be the 32nd in the rivalry between the Defenders and Briar Cliff, dating back to the initial match played during the 1996 season. Dordt leads the all-time series 21-9-1 but has dropped its last six matches against the Chargers and is 4-6 over the last 10 meetings. The Defenders last win against BCU was a 2-0 victory in 2017.

Last year, Dordt lost 3-2 in a match played in Sioux City on Sept. 15.
