Defender Hockey fought hard, but lost to the Missouri Tigers in overtime on Saturday afternoon. The final score was a 5-4 OT loss. Dordt is now 15-4-1 on the season.
How it Happened:
The Defenders were able to get on the board early in the first period courtesy of a
Lucas Van Berkel goal. The Tigers responded and took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission.
Dordt played a strong second period offensively, scoring 3 times in the period. They surrendered one more goal to the Tigers and headed into the second intermission leading 4-3.
The scoring slowed for the third period, with Missouri scoring the lone goal to tie the game at 4 and push the two teams into overtime. The Tigers were able to score in the OT period and seal the win.
