Miller To Join Defender Soccer

(Wednesday, January 18; Sioux Center, Iowa) Paige Miller, a senior at Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart, has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender soccer program.

"We are super excited to have Paige join the program. Paige has played a high level of soccer at both the high school and club level with Sporting Nebraska. We cant wait to see her in a Dordt jersey in August," said Dordt soccer coach Alex Durbin

Miller played midfield and was a member of a state tournament qualifying team in 2022 and a state tournament semifinal team in 2021.  While playing for Sporting Nebraska Club she was on Nebraska State Cup Finalist team in 2022 and a champion in 2023.  Miller was an academic all-conference in 2021 and 2022 and a four-year varsity letter winner in high school.

"My high school emphasized building community as a Christian value. I knew I wanted to carry this principle with me as I grow and it was easy to tell Dordt has a similar mission. The soccer team culture was unlike other collegiate teams I have seen. The constant encouragement, competitive nature and love the team shares for one another made me instantly feel at home," said Miller.

Paige is the daughter of Michael and Rebecca Miller of Omaha, Nebraska. She plans to study biology at Dordt.
