Northwestern defeats Dordt 35-14
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Northwestern Red Raiders were 35-14 winners over Dordt in GPAC play on Saturday afternoon in Orange City on Saturday, October 21.
Northwestern controlled much of the first half and scored on three of its four possessions. Dordt managed to strike back late in the first half when it trailed 17-0. Dordt took the ball from its own 34 and went 66 yards on eight plays and scored on a

Cade Rohwer 18 yard touchdown score to get Dordt within 17-7 at halftime.
Northwestern re-established its momentum on the first drive of the second half and went 42 yards and capped the drive with a fourth down conversion to take a 24-7 lead. Northwestern added another touchdown on its next drive and led 35-7 after a field goal with 2:51 left in the third period.
Dordt managed a touchdown drive early in the fourth quarter when
Kade McDaniel completed a pass to Rohwer on fourth and three at the five to make the score 35-14. Dordt did drive to the Northwestern 20 but turned the ball back on downs and the final was 35-14.

- Northwestern outgained Dordt 301-287.
- Dordt ran for 86 and passed for 201 while Northwestern ran for 128 and passed for 173.
- Northwestern had a 37-23 time of possession edge.
- Kolson Kruse was 7-14 passing for 102 yards and had a touchdown.
- Kade McDaniel was 11-22 passing with a touchdown and had 99 yards. He also ran for 21 yards on five carries.
- Cade Rohwer had five catches for 57 yards and Isaac Looker had three grabs for 51 yards. Rohwer had two touchdowns.
- Lucas Huttinga had 11 tackles and Daniel Jungling and Tyler Wieringa both had nine tackles.
- Ian MacDonald had two tackles for loss.
- Dordt is 5-2 this season and Northwestern is 8-0.
