Northwestern defeats Dordt 83-66
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Dordt Defenders were limited to 29 second half points and lost an 83-66 GPAC decision to Northwestern on Wednesday night in Sioux Center.Â

Luke Rankin basket a little over five minutes into the game put the Defenders up 16-11 but Northwestern outscored Dordt over the next four minutes 9-2 to take a 20-18 lead. Northwestern maintained the lead to 32-28 when
Connor Millikan and
Bryce Coppock made free throws to tie the game. The two teams exchanged three-point baskets for a 35-35 tie. Coppock made two more free throws for Dordt for a brief lead and Alex Van Kalsbeek scored a layup at the horn to knot it at 37-37.
Northwestern took the lead for good at 45-43 on a Van Kalsbeek basket and the lead grew to 56-44 with 13:57 left in the game. Dordt rallied to within 58-55 on a Coppock basket with 8:46 remaining but Northwestern went on a 9-0 run to effectively put the game out of reach and won by the 17-point margin.
