Box Score A seven run first inning was enough for the Dordt Defenders to earn a tripleheader sweep over York in games played in Omaha, Nebraska.

The seven run outburst led to an eventual 8-3 win as Dordt got another run in the fourth inning.

Logan Harris was 3-3 with a homerun and two singles with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Ethan Hoogesteger also had two doubles and two runs batted in and he scored a run. Nolan Christianson had Dordt's other hit, a single, and the Defenders also worked for eight walks as eight different Defenders got a free pass each.

Matthew Ramstead took advantage of the early runs and pitched from in front the entire game with three runs allowed on four hits. Chaz Gothard got the win with four innings pitched and he allowed one run with four strikeouts. 

Dordt will got to McPherson, Kansas on Friday and Saturday, February 17 and 18 for games against Central Christian and Southwestern.
