RECENTLY

The Defenders raced to a 53-28 lead before securing a 99-65 win over Doane on Saturday, February 11. Karly Gustafson had 18 points, six rebounds and four assists and McKenna Klecker scored 16 while converting five three-point shots. Macy Sievers came off the bench to score 13 and had six assists and five rebounds. Janie Schoonhoven added 12 potins and five rebounds and Bailey Beckman completed the double digit scoring with 11 points and five assists.

Northwestern led Mount Marty 23-13 at the end of one quarter on Saturday and won by an eventual 78-58 margin while outscoring the Lancers 55-45 over the final three quarters. Maddie Jones scored 17 and had 10 rebounds and nine assists and Molly Schany had 15 points and eight rebounds. Emilee Danner accounted for 14 points and had eight assists.

THE SERIES

Dordt was a 65-55 winner over Northwestern on December 7, 2022 in the last meeting of the two. The Defenders converted 25-61 field goals and had a 33-29 rebounding edge and forced 15 turnovers while giving the ball up nine times. Karly Gustafson scored 23 and Bailey Beckman added 11. Gustafson also had 10 rebounds in the win and Janie Schoonhoven had 10 points and eight rebounds. Maddie Jones and Molly Schany each had 17 for Northwestern and Schany had five rebounds.

NEXT

Dordt will conclude the regular season on Saturday, February 18 at Jamestown and will host a GPAC Tournament game on Wednesday, February 22.
