RECENTLY
Dordt had little trouble with Morningside on Thursday night in winning 25-16, 25-16, 25-11.
Caleb Kulesza led Dordt with 11 kills and
Brady Frost and
Andres Guzman had seven kills each while
Luke Nelson had six kills. Dordt got 27 assists from
Lukas Van Groningen and Rob Piekarz got to 11 digs.
Ottawa lost to Park 25-19, 25-16, 25-14 last weekend with Trevan Johnson and Akeil Williams each recording five kills and Macort Pickup had six. Andrew Salinas put up 13 assists and Kevin Davidson got to nine digs in the loss.
THE SERIES
The Dordt Defenders trail the series 10-2 and have gone 2-3 in the last five meetings between the two teams. Ottawa was a 3-2 winner in Sioux Center on March 16 in the semifinal round of the GPAC Championship and won by set scores of 25-27, 23-25, 25-15, 25-18, 15-10.
Caleb Kulesza had 23 kills and 10 digs in the loss while
Brady Frost had 11 kills and
Lukas Van Groningen put up 45 assists.
Robert Piekarz accounted for 10 digs and Dordt had four service aces as a team.
NEXT
Dordt is scheduled to travel to Central Christian and Kansas Wesleyan on February 24 and 25 before returning home to face Jamestown on Thursday, March 2.
