(Wednesday, February 1; Sioux Center, Iowa) Thomas Fritz Jr, a senior at Austin High School (Minnesota), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.
Fritz is listed 5-9, 170 pounds and has played running back, wide receiver and safety and has returned punts and kick. He had 61 tackles on defense with an interception and scored six rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns in 2022.
I chose to attend Dordt because it's a place where I can grow not only as a football player but as a young adult," said Fritz.
Thomas is the son of Tom and Alicianne Fritz of Austin, Minnesota. He plans to study business administration.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
