Football Adds Braam

(Wednesday, January 25; Sioux Center, Iowa) Eric Braam, a senior at Northpointe Christian High School (Michigan), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football program.  

Braam is a 5-11, 190-pound running back. He rushed for 911 yards during his career while averaging nine yards a carry with 14 touchdowns and he had 100 tackles during his career. He earned all-conference and all-state honors during his career. 

"The community is amazing and welcoming.  The coaches were great and gave a lot of positive feedback.  The students were very welcoming and helpful when I asked a question. Having coaches and professors that want a personal relationship with you is one of the biggest things that made me choose Dordt," said Braam.  

Eric is the son of Jeff and Rebecca Braam of Saranac, Michigan. He plans to study criminal justice

Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?    

U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
