(Wednesday, January 25; Sioux Center, Iowa) Jacob Schreuder, a senior at Piedra Vista High School (New Mexico), has announced his intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender football and track and field programs.
Schreuder is a 6-3, 155 pound cornerback and wide receiver and he had seven interceptions in 2022 and earned second team all-district and first team all-state honors. Schreuder also had three touchdown receptions at wide receiver. He's a hurdler in track and field.
"I am choosing to pursue my education and football career at Dordt University because of the teachers, staff, students and coaches have been so welcoming and personable. Dordt felt like home," said Schreuder.
Jacob is the son of Krystal Rahm of Farmington, New Mexico. He plans to study construction management.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
U.S. News & World Report, Money Magazine, Forbes.com, Washington Monthly, and Princeton Review all list Dordt on their best colleges lists. Dordt is home to approximately 1,500 students.
