RECENTLY

The Dordt Defenders turned away Concordia on February 4 after trailing 42-37 at halftime. A 12-0 run to start the second half got Dordt rolling and they never trailed in the fourth quarter while securing the win with free throws. Bailey Beckman scored 24 and Karly Gustafson had 17 points with seven rebounds and fie assists. Janie Schoonhoven recorded a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Dordt converted 44 percent of its field goals and had a 38-30 rebounding edge.

Mount Marty beat Hastings on Saturday after leading 26-22 at halftime and held on to win 54-50. Kaela Martinez scored 12 with five rebounds and Eve Millar scored 12 with seven rebounds and had three steals. Briona Jensen came off the bench and scored 11 and took in eight rebounds as the Lancers held Hastings to 32 percent field goal shooting.

THE SERIES

Dordt is 11-0 in the series dating back to 2017-18.  Dordt had a 17-6 lead after one quarter on December 31 and had a 42-17 halftime advantage on the way to an 86-53 win. Bailey Beckman had 21 points and Karly Gustafson scored 17 with six rebounds. Janie Schoonhoven scored 14 points and had 11 rebounds while Macy Sievers accounted for nine points and 10 assists. Eva Millar hit for 13 points to lead Mount Marty and Dordt had a 37-35 rebounding edge and Mount Marty was held to 32 percent field goal shooting.
