(Wednesday, March 15; Sioux Center, Iowa) Ellie Struck, a senior at Unity Christian High School (Iowa), has announced her intention to attend Dordt and join the Defender cheer program.
"I am very excited to have Ellie join our cheer program next year! She has a bubbly and outgoing personality, and I think she will be a great fit for our team! I am excited to see what she will all bring to this team over the next few years!" said Dordt cheer coach Mel Knobloch.
Struck has experience as a flyer/base and in sideline cheer. She was a state cheerleading participant and Iowa Honor Cheer participant.
"I chose to attend Dordt because I believe as I step into the next season of my life, Dordt will best equip me, help me grow in my faith, and challenge me the most to reach my full potential. I also love the community feel of Dordt, how devoted the staff and professors are to developing deper connections with each student and what Dordt's mission stands for," said Struck.
Ellie is the daughter of Amy and Tim Struck of Orange City, Iowa. She plans to study elementary education and theology.
Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa, is a comprehensive Christian college rooted in the Reformed tradition. The Defender athletic program is a part of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA).?
