RECENTLY

Dordt lost a pair to Hastings on March 20 by scores of 11-1 and 4-2.  Hastings broke open the first game with a eight run sixth inning after Dordt had scored a run in the fifth. Nick Yeager took the loss and was charged with three runs and struck out seven in five and two-third innings. The Defenders were fighting from behind after a three run third inning and got within 3-2 after the fifth.  Both teams stranded eight runners and Gyeongju Kim took the loss with four strikeouts and six and two-third innings of work and he scattered eight hits.

THE SERIES

Dordt trails the series 10-8 since the 2018 season.  Midland swept the two games in Fremont on March 18, 2022 by scores of 4-2 and 9-8 with Dordt taking the final game of the series on March 19 by a 3-0 score as Gyeonju Kim pitched six innings and struck out seven in the shutout.

The Defenders are scheduled to face Briar Cliff on March 31 and Dakota Wesleyan on April in a pair of doubleheaders.
